Purposes and objectives
The purposes and objectives of AECRE are to:
- Enhance the professional status and expertise of all executives and attorneys involved in the legal aspects of corporate real estate.
- Provide educational conferences and training programs for members to update and expand their knowledge of all legal matters pertaining to corporate real estate.
- To communicate with all members and keep them updated through regular publications, directories and other communication devices.
- To keep members informed on governmental actions, including court decisions, affecting the legal aspects of corporate real estate practices.
- If desired by the membership, organize and maintain an accreditation program to provide stature and recognition to those members who have achieved high levels of competence in the field of corporate real estate law.
- Create awards for outstanding professional achievement in the field of corporate real estate law.
- Provide assistance to members in seeking talent and/or opportunities in the job market.
- Protect the interests of corporate real estate legal practices from adversaries - public or private.
- Participate with all educational organizations involved in corporate real estate education including assisting educators and students.
- If feasible and desirable by the membership, establish and coordinate chapters and other organization components within the Association.
- Maintain close relationships with all other associations and organizations involved in corporate and commercial real estate through the exchange of information, attendance at meetings and the providing of speakers at various functions.
